Over the past year, the team at Knight Inlet Lodge has worked tirelessly planning to host our guests in 2021. Because the safety and health are the highest priority to us, we have been diligent in following recommendations from public health and government authorities, including respecting travel advisories. Our current operational protocols and policies are also based on those recommendations.
Unfortunately, due to the world-wide pandemic, national and international advisories warning against travel are still in effect and projected to remain in effect over this summer and fall. That is why, along with the slower than anticipated vaccination rollout in Canada this year, we have made the difficult decision to remain closed in 2021. This will help maintain the safety and wellbeing of our staff, our community, and not least of all, you and your family.
We know this news will be disappointing to those that have planned to visit us this year, however next year holds the promise of recovery, renewal, and a return to safe travel, allowing us to offer you the best grizzly bear viewing in British Columbia.
2022: the visit of a lifetime
As you can probably imagine, our team can’t wait to see you next year, and everyone is working hard to ensure that your 2022 visit will be one of the best travel experiences you have ever had. Through the coming summer months our Lodge crew will be working on projects to enhance your wilderness lodge experience, and we are preparing our brand-new 34 ft touring vessel to offer you the best in wildlife viewing and comfort.
In the meantime, we encourage you to follow us on social media throughout the summer as we keep you abreast of our activities! Follow us on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/knightinlet and on Instagram: @knightinlet.
